Program Description

This activity is designed to address the knowledge and practice gaps of dermatologists, allergists, primary care physicians, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, and nurses involved in the care and treatment of moderate-to-severe patients atopic dermatitis (AD). The faculty will discuss pathophysiology and the latest data and give real-world examples and recommendations for moderate-to-severe AD treatment. Focusing on novel therapies, the activity will highlight systemic AD treatment options, including indications, efficacy, and safety of the currently available and emerging agents. Challenges encountered in the treatment of AD will also be highlighted.

Intended Audience

This webcast is designed to meet the educational needs of dermatologists, allergists, primary care physicians, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, and nurses involved in the diagnosis and treatment of atopic dermatitis in adults and children.

Educational Objectives

Upon completion of the educational activity, participants should be able to:

  • Appraise the differential diagnosis of rashes that share the common characteristic of mild, moderate, and severe AD to guide treatment and referral strategies
  • Select optimal strategy and compare the efficacy and safety of interleukin (IL)-4, IL-13, IL-31 mAbs in adult and pediatric patients with AD
